The pharmacies and pharmacists of the Louisiana Independent Pharmacies Association work with a focus on providing the health care solutions to our patients through personalized, high quality healthcare, one patient at a time. Louisiana community pharmacists utilize up-to-date continued training, the latest in technology, and most importantly a vested interest in a personal dialogue with every patient to provide family-oriented healthcare service to our state. Our pharmacists develop and maintain relationships with each individual patient, following their medical history, monitoring their day-to-day patient health, and safe guarding their future well-being. Local independent pharmacies are the front line in patient care and every patient's personal ally in their aspiration for the most exemplary of healthcare services. Our pharmacists are the patients most accessible healthcare provider, no appointment needed. Convenience, quality, and trustworthiness are the hallmarks of our pharmacy community.

Louisiana independent community pharmacies have grown to over six hundred locations that service both the urban and rural communities of our state. These pharmacists continue a focus of face-to-face healthcare with comprehensive patient oriented service. Louisiana's independent pharmacy community provides a network of support, information, and advocacy centered around quality accessible healthcare. LIPA's pharmacists handle not only the fundamental and essential pharmacy healthcare services such as dispensing and counseling but also have expanded their scope of care to face the healthcare challenges these trying times present for Louisiana. In order to face the emerging pandemic of H1N1, Louisiana pharmacists are working together to provide training to their fellow providers in preparation to administer vaccinations to the most at-risk of our citizens.

In the wake of healthcare reform discussions on the state and national level, and a constantly evolving system of providers, regulations and services, Louisiana's independent community pharmacists are working with national, state, and local, public and private entities and most importantly with each other to ensure a consistent, perpetually improving quality of healthcare. All of which is done in pursuit of excellence for the patients of Louisiana.
